It doesn’t matter what your personality is, what your situation is,  there is a deep longing in all of us to be seen.

It’s when we fabricate this idea in our head that if others are overlooking us, forgetting about our needs, God TOO must have forgotten about us.

Whitney Akin explains it like this:

“We feel it most in the moments we long to be remembered. When we wish that someone, anyone could say the right words, take away the pain, fix the problem, and rescue the day. Or we assume God has forgotten to take notice because is there really anything worth noticing?”

Hagar knew when she was found that it was God who saw her.

She answered God by name, praying to the God who spoke to her, “You’re the God who sees me! Genesis 16:13

And he sees YOU!
