Last week Diddy took to social media to express his thoughts on digital service providers, such as Apple Music and Spotify. Diddy feels that artists are not given enough control when it comes to releasing their music on these platforms. According to Diddy if you work for Apple or Spotify and y’all got these rules and regulations, we gotta drop our music when you want us to drop our music — yo, I drop my music when the f**k I want to drop my music. And y’all gonna have to catch up, it’s all good.”

In other news

TikTok is looking to expand its offerings into the music world with the recent filing of trademark applications in the US and Australia for ‘TikTok Music’. The proposed application would allow users to purchase, play, share, download music, songs, albums, lyrics and live stream audio and video. While no specific mention is made of Brazil, Indonesia or India, it is possible that Resso, TikTok's existing music streaming service, will continue to operate in those markets.
