[News Updates] FB Gets a $5B "Slap on the Wrist," Elon Musk Wants Computer Chips in Your Brain, & the MCU Phase 4 is Coming...

Ep #61 - Big updates are coming to The Marketing Geeks Podcast this week. The release of this episode marks the beginning of a major show format change where we will now be splitting our episodes into two types of categories: current news and update & expert interviews.
At the beginning of each week, we will be releasing a "news and updates" episode [category name subject to change] which will feature your normal show hosts, Andros Sturgeon and Justin Womack, waxing intellectually about marketing news, tech releases, and current events. You can also rest assured that all listeners will receive a full helping of geeks news, movie updates, and the latest of what's happening in a certain robot niche market segment.
In this episode, we have a whole lot of marketing news to cover which begins with the "slap on the wrist" that Facebook has received in relation to their data scandals. Apparently, when you're as big as Facebook, the government can fine you $5 Billion dollars (with a 'B') and people will think you got off easy. Even the stock market is reacting favorably to this small five billion dollar fine. 
Also, Elon Musk's startup Neuralink, which aims to install computer chips into all of our brains, is getting closer to a first generation market release. For a while, I was considering being among the inaugural brain chip cyborg class, but after reading about the benefits, which we will discuss in the show, I think I may have to wait another decade or so.
Other topics covered include the celebrity shout out app, Cameo, why Andros believes we are living in a simulation, and plenty more. 
We conclude the episode talking about the big news out of Comic Con last week when the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 4 film lineup was revealed. If you don't know whats coming, get excited because we have major updates to announce.
