On this episode of March Forth with Mike Bauman, Mike chats with Anthony Briscoe and Nick Quiller of Down North!

Comprised of Brisoce (Frontman), Quiller (Guitar), Brandon Storms (Bass) and Conrad Real (Drums), Down North has built a following with a sound and live show they describe in part as "the Red Hot Chili Peppers covering Prince with an early James Brown frontman."

Based out of Seattle, Down North has toured nationally and performed at the likes of Live Nation's Headquarters, Rock Legends Cruise and Seattle's longstanding Bumbershoot Music Festival. So far in 2021, Down North has released covers of "Dance Little Sister" by Sananda Maitreya (formerly known as Terence Trent D'Arby) and "America" by Prince.

On this episode of the podcast, Mike chats with Anthony and Nick about their earliest musical memories, how Down North came together, Seattle's music scene and history, Black artists' influences and contributions to music, Down North's energetic live performances, and more.

This episode features Down North's aforementioned cover of Prince's "America," available where you get your music!
