Comprised of Rosenfeld (lead guitar), Jared Harper (lead vocals), Brandon Brantley (bass) and Jon Keeney (drums), Bury the Darkness is a metalcore band from Phoenix, Arizona that burst onto the scene in 2020. Their debut single "Break Me" had over 10,000 Spotify streams within weeks of its June 2020 release, and is now closing in on 110,000 streams. On 12/11/20, Bury the Darkness dropped its second single entitled "Gone But Not Forgotten," which features fellow rising Arizona outfit Dropout Kings. As of dropping this episode, "Gone But Not Forgotten" had over 16,700 Spotify streams.


In this episode, Marc chats with Mike about his love for music and the guitar, including persevering through some personal losses and joining Bury the Darkness. The pair also discuss the formation of Bury the Darkness, Marc using marketing strategies to help grow the band's audience during the pandemic, the music theory background of the band, working with producer Frankie Ghiloni, collaborating with the guys in Dropout Kings, and more.
