The Westminster shorter catechism says,
“Man’s chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.”
Maybe the wording “enjoying God” sounds too playful or not serious enough when it comes to our relationship with God. Afterall, we’re supposed to fear God… aren’t we?
