Mangled Movie Madness 022: Howl's Moving Castle (2004)

We don't actually know what the difference between sherbet and sorbet is.

Week 2 of Month of Miyazaki takes us to Ryan's favorite of Miyazaki's films, featuring a whimsical world of witches, wizards, and blimp-based warfare. The film follows Sophie, a girl who was left cursed by a witch, causing her to become an old woman who can never speak of who put the curse on her. She stumbles across the movie title while leaving town and meets a young wizard in training, a fire demon who can control the movement of the house, and Howl, the mysterious wizard that is said to consume the hearts of those who get to close to him, when in reality he is a cowardly magician who refuses to participate in the war and is obsessed with his looks.
