Mangled Movie Madness 005: The Running Man (1987)

Kicking off Huntin' Folks for Funzies month is an all-time classic 80's dystopian action movie that both Tim and Ryan discover for the first time.

The movie follows the highest rated television show in dystopian 2017 America. The show, called The Running Man, has criminals as contestants fighting to survive multiple trained assassins, referred to as "stalkers".

Ben Richards, a former cop framed for the massacre of hundreds in a food riot is thrown into the show with his partners in crime and a woman misled to believe that Richards is in fact the true "Butcher of Bakersfield". All four contestants must work together to survive the Running Man, but also must find a way to take the show and its devious host off the air for good.
