With no football to look forward to right now, the Maine Road Ramble begins to look back on Manchester City's history with the first of our episodes focusing specific managerial tenure's in the club's past. We start by discussing the Kevin Keegan era, who took over prior to the 2001-02 season while the team was in the First Division, and led them to a league title and promotion in his first year.

Keegan stayed on for two and a half more seasons, helping City stabilize its place in the Premiership, ultimately setting the stage for future successes. This episode discusses all aspects of Keegan's time in Manchester, starting from the state of the club he inherited to the state of the club he passed on to Stuart Pearce, and all that happened in between. We talk about the best players, moments, and matches from this memorable era and any City fan would should have a listen, whether you lived through this as a supporter or not!

We'd love to hear your thoughts on Keegan's time with City so get in touch with us any time on Twitter @MaineRoadRamble or via email at [email protected]. Let us know your fondest memories and we'll share them on the next managerial retrospective, which will focus on Stuart Pearce.
