Instead of launching a new nation how about new state boundries?

The greater Idaho movement in the western US seeks to move a large area of rural eastern Oregon within the border of Idaho. And if successful would like to incorporate parts of Washington and Northern California. It caught my attention because the founder of the moment is opting to use democracy to further the movement and willing to accept the results, win or loose.
