Today I’m talking to sports psychologist Lisa Lewis.

Lisa is a licensed psychologist with her own practice where she often helps athletes with complicated problems beyond their sports performance. Her mission is to help her clients uncover what motivates them, but it took her years to figure out that motivation was her focus and her mission all along.

We talk about:

How when things didn’t go as expected out of college, Lisa took advantage of unique opportunities which were later valued by her doctoral program. How Lisa grew her sports psychology practice from something she did one night a week into her main business while still leaving plenty of time to take on other projects. How she’s a self-described “decathlete in psychology,” and keeps many different irons in the fire by teaching, running continuing education classes for people in the fitness world, and consulting for a tech start-up.
