Usually at this time of year, I am with my Greek-speaking boyfriend drinking greek spirits on our yearly pilgrimage to a greek island. Yet, it took a chat with my guest today to understand that Greek spirit is not only about what’s in your glass, it’s so much more.
I’m Susan Schwartz, your drinking companion, and this is, Lush Life Podcast, every week we are inspired to live life one cocktail at a time by everyone in this industry.
Johnny Livanos, founder of https://straydoggin.com/ (Stray Dog Wild Gin), was born into the restaurant industry. His grandfather emigrated from the island of Lesbos and opened some of New York’s most iconic Greek restaurants.
Today we find out if Johnny followed in his family’s footsteps before launching one of the first purely Greek Gins on the market.

Our cocktail of the week is Aegean Gin & Tonic:
INGREDIENTS
2 oz Stray Dog Wild Gin
1 bottle (8oz) Three Cents Aegean Tonic
Garnish: one sage leaf and orange slice!

METHOD
Add the Stray Dog Wild Gin to a glass filled with ice
Top up with the Aegean Tonic
Garnish with the sage leaf and orange slice
