November 15, 2021: Papal Apology

Residential school survivors and community leaders have called on Pope Francis to issue a formal apology for the Roman Catholic Church’s role in running residential schools across Canada. Rocky Norwegian, of the Fort Norman Métis Community and a residential school survivor, speaks about why an apology without accountability is meaningless. Also on the show, a new outdoor learning centre at Mildred Hall School in Yellowknife gives students a space outside to learn about language, culture, and being on the land.
