Thank you for joining us for another episode of the Low Carb MD Podcast. Dr. Andreas Eenfeldt is a Swedish medical doctor specialized in family medicine. He is the founder and CEO of Diet Doctor, author of a #1 best selling book on nutrition (Low Carb, High Fat Food Revolution), and the author of the biggest health blog in Sweden. Dr. Eenfeldt graduated from medical school at Uppsala University in 2000. He spent twelve years working as a doctor and eight of those years as a family physician, treating patients with low-carb, high-fat diets. During that time he witnessed amazing success for people with obesity and type 2 diabetes.

In this conversation, Tro and Andreas talk about the scientific literature and data supporting the low carb diet, the DIETFITS study, what we can learn from DIETFITS and how to move forward, the underlying (most foundational) principles of ideal human nutrition, the forces/interests behind the toxic modern food environment, what a person ought to do if low carb doesn’t work for them or if they don’t want to do it, the satiety-pre-calorie approach to dieting, how we ought to act now in light of imperfect/developing scientific knowledge of nutrition and dieting, and how to determine wether you should try the satiety-per-calorie approach.
