Tea Time With Mr. Belvedere Podcast: S1E1: Stranger in the Night (The Pilot)

I’m your host Angela Bowen and I’d like to welcome you to the first episode of my new podcast Tea Time with Mr. Belvedere: A Mr. Belvedere Podcast. Today I will be discussing the pilot episode Season 1 Episode 1 Stranger in the Night which premiered on March 15, 1985.

I decided to do a Mr. Belvedere podcast because I love the show and grew up watching it in syndication in the 90s.
Mr. Belvedere is an American sitcom that originally aired on ABC from March 15, 1985 to July 8, 1990.

In the pilot episode we are introduced to the Owens family head of the household George who in the pilot episode works in construction, but later on would work as a sportscaster (to match actor Bob Uecker's actual career) Marsha who's in college working towards a degree in law and their three children oldest son 17 year old Kevin, 15 year old Heather and youngest child 9 year old Wesley. Each come with their own set of problems for Mr. Belvedere to help solve. With their parents at work and school the kids are overwhelmed with the added responsibility of taking care of the house.

Enter one Mr. Lynn Belvedere a british housekeeper sent by the agency to whip the house back into shape and bring order to the family.

Can Mr. Belvedere adapt to the ways of The Owens Family, even naysayer father George or will he be sent packing?
