Hey Everyone,

Angela Bowen here, the host of She's A Small Wonder: A Small Wonder Podcast.

Today, I covered S2E4: Here Comes The Judge, which aired on October 4, 1986.

In this episode Jamie takes a bribe while playing a judge in school.

I thought this episode was just ok. There wasn't much to it other than Jamie being a jerk and not wanting to accept his punishment for taking a bribe while playing a judge in class. We get the return of adorable Warren, who I feel the wardrobe department should have put him in a more comfortable shirt because the one button up shirt he was wearing was looked too tight and uncomfortable for him, poor kid.

Plus this guy is poorly lacking self confidence skills, hopefully he gains some in later Seasons of the show. He is a sweetheart and I also love Reggie too. He's too cool for Jamie.

I love that Joan is still teaching Jamie's class and this was a great way to teach the kids about the legal system.

Ted's side story about the parking ticket is horrible, he purposely parks in front of a fire hydrant and practically begs the meter maid to give him a ticket since the time before when he parked in front of a fire hydrant he didn't get one.

The meter maid is played by Jo Marie Payton she played Harriet Winslow on Family Matters. I loved her in this scene.

When she refers to give him a ticket because he son is named Ted too, he goes above and beyond even going to the police station and mouthing off to an officer and he gets arrested when they won't give him a ticket.

What a dum-dum.

Join me next month when I cover S2E5: Home Sweet Homeless, which aired on October 11, 1986.

In this episode Joan contacts a local news channel about doing a story on the homeless in an effort to raise awareness for those who are as Joan would put it residentially handicapped. After running an errand for their parents, Jamie and Vicki find a homeless man sleeping in an alley who introduces himself as Roland Cardwell. Jamie quickly finds a role model in the self proclaimed professional vagabond and invites him to stay in their home. After witnessing his admiration, Joan and Ted frantically think of ways to change Jamie's preconception of how easy the life of a homeless man is. However, when Roland goes missing they find their job is much easier than predicted. The family revisits the shady alley in which they had originally found him in and Jamie finds that the lifestyle isn't nearly as glamorous as he had previously thought.

Have a great week everyone!
