Growing Pains: S1E6: Mike's Madonna Story

Here is S1E6: Mike’s Madonna Story, which aired on November 5, 1985.

In this episode A Madonna-styled teenage seductress wreaks havoc in the Seaver household when she appears at their doorstep in some rather revealing clothing looking for Mike and plotting to make him her next seduction.

I rated this episode 2/5 Mike Seaver Leather Jackets.

The two things I enjoyed about this episode

1. Maggie’s advice to Mike at the end of the episode about waiting for the right person before having sex.

2. Carol and Ben and the plant project was funny and cute especially when Ben tried to save the plant by dumping a gallon of miracle grow on it.

The 3 things I didn’t like in this episode

1. Maggie so preoccupied with the idea of her son Mike having sex that she ruins a perfect date night with Jason and also her fellow movie patrons viewing experience by getting up and shouting about the gratuitous sex scenes on the screen.

3. I outright deplored Lisa. Her calling Maggie by her first name irritated me and her desperation to bed Mike, she was so up on him clearly making him and me the viewer uncomfortable.

Carol gets the Worst Dressed Award with her hideous canary yellow sweatshirt with sharpie drawn on people and Maggie the runner up with her 80's glasses which I don't think we ever see those again, I can only hope.

Mike gets the best it award for his sleeveless leather jacket.

Carol, who’s currently single invites her work crew over for a romantic movie marathon, A Room With A View, An Officer and a Gentleman and Samson and Delilah.

Jason and Maggie try to revamp their marriage.

Mike gets the biggest shock of all when he takes out Kate for a romantic Valentines Day dinner and his ex fiancé Julie happens to be their waitress.
