Here's this week's episode S1E6: Superdad which aired on October 29, 1985.

In this episode working mother Maggie Seaver begins to feel edged out of her children's lives and excluded from family affairs by none other than husband Jason.

I gave this episode 3 out of 5 Leather Jackets.

1. Mike with the dog swap with Ben and Wendy.

2. Jason and Carol’s talk about her dilemma with her crush Kevin.

3. Ben and his dancing and impression of Billy Idol.

The things I didn’t like

1. Maggie’s hurt over being edged out of her kid’s lives with Jason being the go to parent for the moment, she takes her aggression out on him. It just seemed to drag on to long even though it was Plot A of the episode.

2. Carol and her he/she said teen drama over her crush Kevin. This Melissa said that and Kathy said this after Jason first told her that these girls are just spreading untrue gossip and she should just stick to the source if she wants to know how Kevin really feels and thinks about her.

Nothing more than teenage girl drama that always seems like the end of the world to them.

Next week on the podcast I will be covering S1E6: Mike's Madonna Story, which aired on November 5, 1985.

In this episode a Madonna-styled teenage seductress wreaks havoc in the Seaver household when she appears at their doorstep in some rather revealing clothing looking for Mike and plotting to make him her next seduction.
