Today in honor of John Stamos's (Uncle Jesse) Birthday, I decided to cover Full House: S7E8: Another Opening, Another No Show, which aired on November 3, 1993.
In this episode The Smash Club is about to open, but everything that can go wrong does: Joey books the wrong band, Kimmy gives her waitress uniform a "creative" touch, and no one can find the owner, Jesse.
Note to Everyone:
Don't do what Jesse does in this episode and by that I mean don't wait till the day of opening a new business and still be working out the kinks, for example, the entertainment (granted that mistake is on Joey's part) because he changed the band without Jesse knowing until last minute.
He had an expresso machine that barely worked and expected Danny to be able to fix it even though the instructions were only in Italian.
Jesse just comes off as a jerk to everyone, yelling at them because he waited to the last minute before making sure everything was ready to go.
He screams at Stephanie and Michelle to get off the stage (which they shouldn't have been up there messing with anything to begin with) and then he's trashing on Kimmy's uniform because she had added color designs to a basic black vest. I don't know any jobs that want you making alterations or adornments of any kind to their uniforms since you're representing the face of their company or brand.
Jesse and Kimmy get locked in the storeroom and she gives him an earful and he comes to the realization that he's being too hard on everyone. I mean if it were me that he was yelling at I would have left.
He should have made sure a week ago that the club was ready to even open.
Overall good episode!
Danny overloaded on caffeine, hilarious!
REM (not that R.E.M) was pretty rockin!
