Renee Anderson, aka Wild Oregon Girl. Author, creator, mental health advocate, mother and artist. I began writing my hiking blog when my child entered Kindergarten. I had been in food and beverage for 15 years prior and needed a creative outlet while being a stay at home mom. I researched and photographed one hike in Oregon per week for a year. I moved over to social media and my blog took off. As my platform about Oregon grew I began to share my mental health and women's health stories. I live with schizoaffective disorder. So many people connected to my journey. Today I am writing a guide book about Oregon, work with over 40 small businesses around the state, connecting people to nature and experiences. My goal is to show what can be done despite having a mental health diagnosis.
