Wild Turning the Page to 2022

On today's episode of Locked on Wild, Alex Micheletti joins to recap the Winter Classic, both on the ice and leading up to the game. We discuss why despite the rough performance, it's hard to get panicked considering the number of games the Wild have had postponed over the last two weeks. They did battle back and Kirill Kaprizov shined in another opportunity to showcase his talents on the national stage. We also discuss the things we both will take away from Winter Classic weekend.

We move to other Wild news from over the weekend as Dean Evason and his staff were all signed to contract extensions. We look at how the news came about, with Dean waiting to sign his deal until his staff had extensions to match, and Wild players jokingly looking for a thank you for putting Dean in a position to get extended. We also discuss why Dean is the absolute right fit for this team. We finish the show by looking at some of the biggest 2022 storylines for the Wild, which include getting healthy, using the March homestand to finish strong and the potential for the Wild to make a few deadline moves.
