Who is Most to Blame for 5-8-2 Start?

We start with the players, and particularly the top level guys such as Kirill Kaprizov and Matt Boldy who frankly aren't pulling their weight for what they are being paid. We look at the overall level of disinterest Kaprizov has on a nightly basis and how he seems to take his shots from further and further away from the net as games pile up. We discuss Matt Boldy and his passenger level play. We move to Dean Evason and the lack of holding veteran players accountable for mistakes while not hesitating to make an example out of young players in similar situations. We discuss his rigidity in scheme and structure, and why a team that polices itself doesn't seem to be getting the job done anymore. We finish with Bill Guerin, and the rush to lock in a group of players based on a season that was clearly an aberration rather than the norm, and why it will limit the ability to get much needed youth into the lineup in meaningful ways.
