State of MN Sports with Stephen Strom

On today's episode of Locked on Wild we assess the state of Minnesota sports teams with Stephen Strom of the Strom Sports Show. We start with the Twins, and whether or not Stephen likes the return the Twins got for their trade deadline moves. We also wonder whether or not the Twins can get back into the hunt next year or if they will need a little more time to become competitive again. We also preview the Gopher football season, and what sort of bounce back season we can expect from PJ Fleck and his team.

For the Wild portion of the show, we look at an interesting theory in which Kevin Fiala is delaying his signing with the Wild so as not to be included in a Jack Eichel trade. We also discuss the center depth for the team, and if the team had any other plan other than Jack Eichel to fill their center depth. But after an update on Marco Rossi, we also wonder if he will be able to ascend sooner rather than later in the Wild lineup. Stephen asks Seth about the Wild's defensive signings, and that leads to an interesting question of how the Wild's power play units will look next year.

We finish with the Timberwolves, who entered a pivotal stretch of NBA Free Agency and have done absolutely nothing, and wonder aloud if the Wolves front office will last much longer. And finally the Vikings over/under is set at 9. Which way will they go?
