Some Concerning Patterns Starting to Appear for the Wild in the Second Half

On today's episode of Locked on Wild, we recap the 4-3 loss to Ottawa, which featured another slow start and another uneven goalie performance. We look at which factors weighed into the performance, such as Mats Zuccarello not being in the lineup, and all of the line combos being juggled. We also look at whether the team is starting to wear down with games essentially every other day, and if the team is starting to overlook lesser opponents in favor of big games. We move onto Cam Talbot, who has been either very very good or awful over is last 9 games. His tendency to allow early goals has been particularly concerning as well, as the Wild have not been able to overcome the deficits as much. It may be time to give Kaapo Kahkonen a few consecutive starts to give Talbot a chance to clear his head. We finish by looking at the line combinations the Wild used without Mats Zuccarello, and why they should have maybe looked to change one line as opposed to three to throw off the continuity.
