Rasmus Kumpulainen Signs his ELC with the Wild!

On today's episode of Locked on Wild, we discuss Marc-Andre Fleury being named 3rd star of the week for the NHL for a 2-0-1 record, a shutout and continuing to keep the Wild in the hunt. We look at his numbers compared to the rest of the NHL and wonder if he will tire out the rest of the way if Filip Gustavsson doesn't reclaim the 1a goalie spot. We discuss Rasmus Kumpulainen signing his ELC. We look at what he brings to the table and how the Slide provision in his ELC means that his contract likely won't result in him being credited for a year unless he makes it to the NHL for 10 games at the age of 19. We look at other Wild prospects for which this same provision applies to try to get a sense of when we may see them too. We also discuss putting young players in positions to succeed, something the Wild have not done consistently enough when they have asked them to step into the lineup.
