The Minnesota Wild squandered a 2-0 lead and lost 3-2 to the San Jose Sharks in a shootout. The Wild got an early goal from Freddy Gaudreau and added a short handed goal courtesy of Connor Dewar to make it 2-0 into the third period. But San Jose responded with two goals including the tying goal from former Wild center Nico Sturm and won in the shootout. Kirill Kaprizov scored the lone shootout goal for the Wild who next play Nashville on Tuesday night.
