Fixing the Wild's D Line Pairings

On today's episode of Locked on Wild, we recap another loss to the Winnipeg Jets, this time by a score of 6-3. We look at how the Wild let their foot off the gas and allowed Winnipeg to control the game at their speed after the first period. We also discuss what Winnipeg has done to play the Wild tough this season. We look at if any of what the Jets did was concerning enough to keep an eye on the rest of the season. We also discuss the Wild's current D Line pairings, and why it may not be a good idea to pair Jared Spurgeon and Jonas Brodin together with Jordie Benn's performances lately. The Wild need to play him with either Brodin or Spurgeon to help minimize his mistakes on the ice and so that other defensemen are not being relied upon too much to bail him out. We then look at why the Wild need to try to start games off on a more intense note so they don't keep having to dig out of deficits, which will be more difficult once the playoffs arrive.
