Declan Chisholm Seizing An Opportunity with the Wild

On today's episode of Locked on Wild, we discuss Declan Chisholm's play since being claimed off of waivers from Winnipeg. We look at how he has been able to contribute defensively, an area he needed improvement in as a Jets prospect, but an area he has been solid in especially when paired with Jonas Brodin. We discuss his block numbers and low expected shots and expected goals against per 60 minutes, with Chisholm actually near the top of all Wild defenseman in both categories. We discuss his offensive numbers, and work on the 2nd Power Play unit, which further underscores just how passenger a bulk of Wild defensemen minutes have been so far this year. We look at where Chisholm can slot in next year and beyond, especially with Jared Spurgeon's status up in the air next season! All in all a great pickup by Bill Guerin, but one that the Wild were able to get because of their struggles so far this season.
