Yoán Moncada started the 2022 season injured then proved ineffective for the Chicago White Sox. Moncada came to the White Sox organization in a trade for Chris Sale in December of 2016. White Sox fans put a lot of hope in Moncada becoming a centerpiece as well as the face of the franchise and possibly MLB for many years. Moncada has had a lot of weight on his shoulders and the expectations are almost unrealistic. In 2019, Moncada provided a glimpse to White Sox fans by hitting 25 HRs as he hit for power and average. Fans have been waiting for an encore performance and 2022 was definitely not it. Moncada struggling at the plate and looked lost in the field at times this past season. Can Moncada stay healthy, get back to basics and put up the numbers that he is capable of in 2023?
