The Chicago White Sox had an off-day on Thursday and are back home on the South Side ready to host the Oakland Athletics in a three game series. The White Sox projected starters for the series are Lance Lynn, Johnny Cueto and Dylan Cease. The White Sox (49-49) are 3 games back in the AL Central and 3.5 games out of the final Wild Card spot. Tuesday Aug 2nd is the MLB trade deadline and the White Sox have a lot of decisions to make. Do they try to add a starter like Jose Quintana or maybe a lefty reliever like Matt Moore? Perhaps the Sox could acquire Ian Happ or Joc Pederson? One thing is for certain though: The White Sox need help if they are to make a serious postseason run this season.
