Happy Fourth of July, Sox fans! The Chicago White Sox swept the San Francisco Giants this past weekend, capping things off with a 13-4 series finale thumping. White Sox starter Lucas Giolito turned in a solid outing. He threw 6 innings and did not give up very much at all. He has now thrown 6 innings in back-back starts. The Sox took advantage of some sloppy San Francisco defense throughout the weekend but White Sox players, Seby Zavala, Gavin Sheets and Leury Garcia had big moments. The Sox are now one game under .500 and begin a critical stretch of games where they will play 19 straight games against AL Central opponents. The Sox return home on Monday to face the division leading Minnesota Twins. Johnny Cueto will be the starter for White Sox as they look to get back to .500.
