The Chicago White Sox took care of business in New York by beating the Yankees twice on Sunday and 2 of 3 in the series

The Chicago White Sox took 2 of 3 games against the New York Yankees this past weekend in New York. The Sox won both games of a doubleheader on Sunday by the scores of 3-1 and 5-0. Johnny Cueto and Michael Kopech pitched brilliantly in the doubleheader for the White Sox. Cueto did not give up any runs in 6 innings of work and Kopech did not give up any runs in 7 innings of work. White Sox got just enough offense in Game 1 but there were some definite dramatics in Game 2 as Tim Anderson hit a big 3 run homerun in the 8th inning to put the White Sox up 5-0. It was an emotional weekend, because of comments by Josh Donaldson directed at Tim Anderson on Saturday that were called 'disrespectful' by Anderson and 'racist' by Sox manager Tony La Russa. The Chicago White Sox find themselves one game over .500 as they head home to start a series with Boston on Tuesday. Go Sox.
