It was an ugly game for both teams on Sunday but the Chicago White Sox outlasted the Chicago Cubs in 12 innings by a score of 5-4. The White Sox split the weekend series and won 3 of 4 against the Chicago Cubs this season. White Sox starter, Dylan Cease, had a brilliant outing. He went 7 innings and only gave up one run but it was unearned. The White Sox finally started to score runs in the bottom of the ninth and then Jake Burger walked it off with a single in the bottom of the 12th. In the 5th inning, White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson injured his groin making a throw to first base. No word on the severity but he will spend time on the IL. The Sox have the day off on Monday, then start a series with the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday.
