The Chicago White Sox beat the New York Mets to avoid the sweep. The Minnesota Twins are up next. The final score in the series finale with the Mets was 6-2. The Sox are now 16 games under .500 and 9 games back in the division. Sox starter, Michael Kopech, bounced back from a nightmare of an outing last week in Atlanta and went 5+ innings. Kopech still struggled with his command but he kept his composure and did not let the walks hurt him. White Sox scored their six runs without hitting a home run. Elvis Andrus had a triple, Eloy Jimenez had a two hit game in his return and Tim Anderson tacked on a couple more hits. The Sox travel to Minnesota to take on the first place Twins. Lance Lynn heads to the mound for the Sox in the series opener.
