Pedro Grifol is expected to be named the next Chicago White Sox manager. No shortage of rumors, reports and statements that claim longtime Kansa City Royals coach, Pedro Grifol, will be named the next White Sox manager perhaps before the World Series ends. Grifol has been the Royals bench coach for the last few seasons but has held a variety a different roles within the organization since he came over in 2013. Apparently, Grifol thoroughly impressed during his interviews and Jerry Reisndorf, Kenny Williams and Rick Hahn were all in consensus. Grifol does not have prior managerial experience and has not been part of a championship team since 2015 but he is an outside hire. More rumors circulated that several White Sox coaches will not be asked back and former Toronto Blue Jays manager, Charlie Montoyo, will be the next White Sox bench coach. It appears that the White Sox are interested in change... hopefully it does not stop with Pedro Grifol.
