Mailbag Wednesday: If healthy, how far can the Chicago White Sox realistically go in 2023? Most baseball pundits and fans have to preface any predictions regarding the White Sox with: 'If they can actually stay healthy this season....' It's something we've gotten used to as White Sox fans and it's why this team so difficult to project. They were not healthy last year and we still don't know what the ceiling is for players like Eloy Jimenez or Luis Robert. If the Sox can actually stay on the field, then they can be a dangerous team in 2023. Was it a confidence issue for Yoan Moncada last season and can a successful World Baseball Classic turn into a monstrous year with the Sox? Yasmani Grandal's name does not come to mind when baseball experts think about the best catchers in the game. Why is he such a wild card on this team and is it more likely that his offense will bounce back or will it be his defense?
