Eloy Jiménez really, really wants to play right field for the Chicago White Sox. Jiménez dropped 25-30 pounds this past offseason and has been putting a lot of work in the outfield with hopes he can spend more of his time in right field than on the bench waiting for his opportunity to hit. Pedro Grifol appears to be encouraging Jiménez to keep up the impressive work and to not settle for simply the designated hitter distinction. Lance Lynn gets the nod for the first game of the spring. Lynn may see three innings or more depending on how he feels. Participants in the World Baseball Classic will probably see a lot of playing time in the first week or so. Tim Anderson is hoping for positive vibes this season and talked about his future plans. Anderson wants to stay in a White Sox uniform and hopes for clarity on his future sooner rather than later.
