The Chicago White Sox lost to the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday by a score of 4-3 in eleven innings. The White Sox blew a one run lead in the 9th inning when left fielder Adam Engel misplayed a fly ball in foul territory then Sox closer Liam Hendriks allowed a two out solo home run to tie the ball game. The White Sox failed on two occasions to score their runner on second base in extra innings. White Sox reliever, Jake Diekman, gave up the winning hit in the bottom of the 11th. White Sox offense got a home run from Andrew Vaughn on the first pitch of the game but the Sox ended up going 2-for-13 with runners in scoring position. Yoan Moncada left the game with a hamstring issue and Luis Robert did not look right as he battled a bone bruise to his hand. White Sox return home for a three game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
