On Friday, Calgary Flames forward Matthew Tkachuk was traded to the Florida Panthers in exchange for Jonathan Huberdeau, MacKenzie Weegar, Cole Schwindt and a 2025 first round pick. The Dallas Stars dodged a big bullet by not trading for Tkachuk as they would have likely had to have given up a great young player like Jason Robertson or Roope Hintz. We also discuss the Flames brutal offseason and how the NHL may look different if the Stars had beaten them in round one of the playoffs back in May.
