The Dallas Stars DESTROY the Blackhawks on New Year's Eve! Mason Marchment Hat Trick and much more!!

The Dallas Stars blew out the Chicago Blackhawks by an 8-1 final on New Year's Eve. Mason Marchment had a hat trick in route to a four point night and completing back to back games for the Stars with hat tricks when Roope Hintz did it two nights prior. Tyler Seguin had 3 points and only three players left the game without a point for Dallas. On today's episode of Locked On Stars, Joey believes this is a glimpse of how great the Stars can be. Obviously, the Blackhawks are one of the bottom five teams in the league, but the dominating nature of the win makes him think this could be their potential. Included with that is the play of the defense, it's important that the Stars defensive core plays great in their own zone, but also produces offensively and December has show that. Miro Heiskanen had 15 points in the month, Thomas Harley had 11, Jani Hakanpaa and Esa Lindell are chipping in as well and with the personnel Dallas has currently, they must play this way to have ultimate success. The final segment is about 2024 resolutions for the Dallas Stars, the first two are obvious and certain ones that Joey has expressed before such as bringing in another right shot defensemen, bringing the goals against average down, but Joey really wants Jake Oettinger to be fully healthy. Otter has been skating, but its very important that Otter takes all the time he needs and is ready to return at full tilt. The Stars are winning and Scott Wedgewood has been more than impressive in his absence.
