The Dallas Stars announced that Derian Hatcher and Bob Gainey would be inducted into the Dallas Stars Hall of Fame's inaugural class. Hatcher served as the Stars captain when the team won their first Stanley Cup in 1999. He was the living embodiment of Dallas Stars hockey and has set the standard for future captains of the team. Bob Gainey is also getting a nod for the Stars HOF after his work as team GM in the 1990's and early 2000's. Gainey built some of the best rosters in team history and is a huge reason as to why the sport of hockey has become so popular in Dallas, Texas.
