Dallas Stars Player Season Evaluation #8: Denis Gurianov

Coming into this season, Denis Gurianov was a guy that seemed destined to fully reveal himself to the NHL world as a legit star (pun FULLY intended). While there were certainly some great moments from Denis, he left a lot to be desired from his 2021-2022 campaign. Denis never found a true home on the roster and was placed on just about every line with a weird variety of other players. He was also a healthy scratch on many occasions, which gave us one of the oddest running storylines of the entire season. How much of Denis' struggles were of his own doing and how much blame should be assessed to the coaching staff? Will Gurianov stay in Dallas next season, or will he move on to a new city and team?
