New Orleans Saints and Michael Thomas could be headed towards split

Could the New Orleans Saints have already seen the last of Michael Thomas in the Big Easy? The Saints are two games away from the end of the 2023 NFL regular season and are still fighting for a playoff spot. Earning that spot should be top priority. However, evaluating talent like Zack Baun, Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed and Juwan Johnson should be a huge focus. Those players would be a big-art of what the team does with its future alongside young developing players like Alontae Taylor and Carl Granderson.

Big performances by these six players would help the Saints know what to do moving into the offseason, how to approach free agency and what they have to build around with the 2024 NFL Draft. Veterans like Alvin Kamara, Cameron Jordan and Demario Davis will need to be in focus as well as the team with one of the oldest rosters in the NFL has the chance to start building for it’s future.
