After solidifying the parameters for a trade with the New Orleans Saints, Derek Carr forced the Las Vegas Raiders hand to release him. He did not waive his no-trade clause, which made the organization shift gears quickly. With Carr removed from the team, head coach Josh McDaniels needs a new reliable quarterback. Especially in a division with the two-time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City. There are options with veteran established quarterbacks and draft prospects with their 7th overall selection. This roster needs reconstruction in a few essential areas. The direction they chose to take with the quarterback position will ultimately decide everything else.
