The Twins salvaged the final game of the three-game series in Seattle by jumping all over starting pitcher Justus Sheffield. D.C. talks about Sheff's performance, and also another weak day for the offense. Shifting gears in the next segment, Locked On Mariners Contributor Jon Miller joins D.C. to talk about expanded playoffs. Not entirely about last year's expanded playoffs, or proposed plans for the near future, but the 1994 playoff structure, and a little history on when and why playoffs have expanded. This leads to a brief discussion about some teams that missed out on playoff opportunities in the late 80s and early 90s, when only two teams per league qualified for postseason play, and THAT leads to a conversation about those great Atlanta Braves teams of the 1990s, featuring the man D.C. called his favorite pitcher.
