LSU Tigers defense SHUTS DOWN Mississippi State Bulldogs | Harold Perkins settled into his role?!

The LSU Tigers defense was a brick wall in Starkville against the Mississippi State Bulldogs this past Saturday. The Tigers held Bulldogs QB Will Rogers to just 103 passing yards and zero touchdowns. Mississippi State has transitioned into a more run-heavy offense under first year head coach Zach Arnett and while the Bulldogs ran for 94 yards against LSU, 52 of those yards came from a 52 yard Jo'Quavious Marks run late in the game once LSU had a commanding lead.

It was a defensive performance that LSU fans needed to have renewed assurance into the defense. While LSU limited what Grambling wanted to do for three quarters last week, they still surrendered over 100 rushing yards to Grambling running back Chance Williams. Against Florida State, the Seminoles ran away with the game in the fourth quarter after the Tigers secondary struggled to limit wide receivers Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson and star defensive player Harold Perkins was a non-factor playing at inside linebacker. LSU has so much talent defensively and they showed that talent against Mississippi State from their first possession. The Bulldogs punted on their first five possessions and four of those five were three-and-outs.
