LSU Tigers head coach Brian Kelly adds yet another experienced coach with Louisiana ties to an already stacked coaching staff with the latest addition to the offensive coaching staff. Slade Nagle, who returns to LSU after serving as its special teams coordinator in 2009 and has spent the last eight years with the Tulane Green Wave as the tight ends coach, quarterbacks coach, and offensive coordinator, will serve as LSU's tight ends coach for the 2024 season. Nagle steps into a loaded tight end room with third-year standout Mason Taylor, two four-stars from the 2023 class, Mac Markway and Ka'Morreun Pimpton, plus the number two tight end in the 2024 class, TreyDez Green. What will Nagle's role be? How much will he contribute and guide two young and inexperienced co-offensive coordinators Joe Sloan and Cortez Hankton? Could Nagle also contribute in special teams given his history of working with that unit?

Plus, former LSU WR Kayshon Boutte has been arrested for charges of computer fraud and underage gambling. It was reported that Boutte placed 9,000 illegal bets over the span of about a year, including several on college football, LSU football, and even himself.
