It felt like last year, the Texas Longhorns Football Team were snubbed when it came to certain honors in the Big 12, as well as TCU being rewarded when it came to certain honors because they were having an undefeated season. For example, Max Duggan was not a better offensive player than Bijan Robinson last season by any means, but it's hard to argue impact when one school wins 12 games and the other school wins 8. Jaylan Ford was the best defensive player in the conference last year and I'm not sure it was close, but the award went to the Edge Rusher from Kansas State because they were in route to the Big 12 Championship game. This year, Texas is poised to make a lot of noise in their last year in the conference, and most people believe that this is the year they will win the conference championship outright for the first time since 2009.
