At last, we've reached game week for the Indiana Hoosiers football 2022 season this fall. And though IU did not play in Week 0, three of their opponents did including their first foe in the Illinois Fighting Illini.
On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) reacts to the first games of the college football season, specifically the three future Hoosier opponents that were in action. Illinois opened their season with a big win, though it came over the Wyoming Cowboys.
Still, it was a better fate for the Illini than for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, who collapsed in Ireland against Northwestern. Scott Frost's latest blunder should have IU fans optimistic about the Hoosiers' chances against the Cornhuskers...if Frost is still around.
The show wraps by looking at Western Kentucky, another future IU foe, and their opening season win. The men's and women's soccer teams each opened their season last week as well with mixed results.
