Trayce Jackson-Davis earned his first preseason All-American honors ahead of the Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball season on Monday. It's the first of what will likely serve as many preseason honors TJD will receive for IU heading into his senior year.

On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) reveals who joined Jackson-Davis on that All-American First Team by Blue Ribbon, one of the longtime staples of men's college basketball coverage. For a player that is racking up honors and awards, this preseason All-American award is the latest of what could be many for TJD as well this year.

247Sports' rankings update for the Class 2023 kept both of the Hoosiers commits right around the top 100. Jakai Newton remains a top-100 prospect and Gabe Cupps is just outside that group while target Arrinten Page is a top-60 recruit.

The show wraps by looking at the preseason SP+ rankings, where the Hoosiers come in rather low at just inside the top-100 heading into the year. However, a pair of Big Ten teams rank closely to them and a strong start to the season could see them rise up those rankings.
